A new 1260 pupil Secondary School seen very much as a shared community asset with major community facilities including dance studios, changing facilities, music & art classrooms, drama studio, music performance space, practice rooms, recording studio and control room.
The School achieved Carbon Neutral status as defined by the government DCFS Carbon Calculator with greater than 60% CO2 emission reductions through a number of measures including solar thermal panels and a biomass boiler as part of its sustainability agenda. The design also incorporated a high degree of future-proofing to allow the school to cope with an ever changing curriculum.
