UWE, Bower Ashton Teaching Block

Client: The University of the West of England
Value: £4.24m
Duration: 2007 – 2008

Alec French Architects developed a 10 year masterplan on this highly sensitive site bordering the Ashton Court Estate. The masterplan allowed for replacement of existing buildings and the insertion of new buildings around a new central court, reorganisation of campus circulation and the introduction of a new main entrance.

The second phase involved the complete refurbishment of the main campus Teaching Block providing new specialist facilities and general teaching and seminar space for all departments alongside improvements to the circulation and building fabric.
