Alongside the National Composites Centre, BBSP1 is the first development on the park, comprising sustainable, energy efficient, and flexible office and lab space to meet a variety of tenancy requirements. The main building includes the Innovation Centre and Grow On Space wings together with the Forum, a 3 storey exhibition, dining, and conference facility serving entire park.

The Innovation Centre has been partially fitted out and occupied as serviced office suites. There is also a range of conference rooms and an informal seating area on an upper gallery level overlooking the Forum. The development also includes an Energy Centre which provides bio-mass and gas fired boilers, photovoltaic arrays, electric car charging points and mixed mode natural/mechanic ventilation to the building. BBSP1 has an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating.

Our duties were to assist the client in developing a concept design through to fitting out and overseeing a design & build contract.
