Crux Product Design HQ

Client: Crux Product Design Ltd
Value: Not disclosed
Duration: 2015-2018

The project involved the Cat A and Cat B fit-out and external alterations of a new-build shell over four floors to house the new Headquarters for Crux Product Design Ltd.  Our Client was looking to expand operations and relocate from their current premises into the adjacent Paintworks development.

The final project delivered flexible studio office space, specialist workshops and lab space, meeting rooms, staff canteen, extensive showering and support facilities, and collaborative working areas.

From the outset, the reconfiguration of the building and the design of the internal spaces needed to positively influence the creativity of our Client’s business in a number of ways.

On the most basic level, the building and its environment needed to be fit-for-purpose and address the technical needs of the user, thereby avoiding any adverse issues which distract from the creative process. On a more nuanced level, the spaces would need to help stimulate the creative process by providing an inspiring working environment which responds to the varying needs of its users while delivering a sense of delight. A number of features were embedded in the design that taps into the creative senses.

Finalist: Insider South West Property Awards 2018 – Commercial Fit-out Project of the Year
