AlecFrenchArchitects’ Redcliffe Parade Project shortlisted for 2018 Residential Michelmores Property Award

AlecFrenchArchitects are proud to announce that our latest project, Redcliffe Parade, has been shortlisted by law firm Michelmores for a Residential Project of the Year 2018 Property Award, in the Residential Units under 35 category.

Michelmores Property Awards is the South West’s premier property awards ceremony, showcasing and celebrating the very best of the region’s projects, buildings and businesses.

On 7 June, Redcliffe Parade will be in the running against a number of commercial and residential projects of all shapes and sizes across ten categories.

We were appointed by Change Real Estate and Cannon Family Trust to develop  designs for the redevelopment of 3-8 Redcliffe Parade along with the adjoining 1970’s extension.  This project saw the reinstatement of residential use across the then-vacant site, providing a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom high-quality dwellings.

Fundamental to the proposals for the redevelopment of the site was the retention of both existing buildings which offered substantial positive redevelopment potential and re-use together with a sustainable approach to the site.

A core element of the project was the restoration of the Grade II Listed Georgian fronting Redcliffe Parade which was significantly altered during the 1970s when it was converted to offices.

This development is focused on the long term sustainability of the site and incorporates some of the latest environmental technologies in order to provide a sustainable and energy efficient scheme while preserving the character of the listed building.

We very much look forward to the event in June!
