Alec French Architects have been working with Josh Eggleton at the Pony and Trap to prepare planning applications covering an extension to the Michelin stared restaurant and the addition of accommodation cabins below the orchard. The new spaces will provide an enhanced finishing kitchen, a large open-plan dining area and the opportunity of an extended stay at this first-class culinary destination.

The construction of the new 6th Form Centre at The Corsham School is progressing well. The external timber wall panels and roof panels have been attached to the steel portal frame. The timber stud framing for the internal partition walls is up and the timber battens to support the larch cladding is being attached. When complete, the building will provide flexible space for the school with a common room, study spaces, offices, kitchenette, WCs and storage.
Being Brunel for the SS Great Britain Trust continues to successfully win awards this year. Pleasingly they are for Culture and Leisure as well as for Architecture. Recent wins include: Bristol Property Awards - Winner Civic Development, Heritage + Museum Awards - Best Permanent Exhibition, RICS Regional Awards - Winner Leisure and Tourism Award.
