AlecFrenchArchitects’ Redcliffe Parade Project shortlisted for 2018 Residential Michelmores Property Award
AlecFrenchArchitects are proud to announce that our latest project, Redcliffe Parade, has been shortlisted by law firm Michelmores for a Residential Project of the Year 2018 Property Award, in the Residential Units under 35 category.
Birdseye View of Stockwood Images taken from the crane show progress as the building gets out of the ground. The first floor slabs and stair have been installed in the North east corner of the site by Hollway Road. Elsewhere you can clearly see the plan form of the building with central corridor and separating walls between flats.
Groundworks progressing at Stockwood The groundworks to the site are now well progressed with most walls to the building set out ahead of the installation of the ground floor concrete planks next week. The steel structure to the communal Garden Room has also now been erected.
The Kingfisher School: Brickwork Taking Form With the completion of the steel frame, the layering of the external walls can begin. With lining board, insulation and vapour control layers now making up the visible front of the project. The brickwork will be quickly following as the building gathers more of its form.
Redcliffe Parade: The Georgian terrace has had a face lift! A key milestone has recently been reached with the removal of scaffolding from the building which has revealed the new colours along the Redcliffe Parade elevation for the first time. If you stroll along Redcliffe Way now, you can also catch a glimpse of the newly clad extension peeking through between Redcliffe Parade East and Redcliffe Parade West. Brickwork will start on site soon with such great progress on works. A great day for visiting site and inspecting steelwork.
Excavations for the foundations for the new Stockwood Almshouse are to begin in a few weeks.
The building is located in the centre of Bristol and is managed by Shelborne Asset Management. The proposals form part of a wider internal refurbishment exercise currently being carried out by the building owner during which teams working within the building were offered an opportunity to rationalise their workspaces to suit changing requirements.
The cladding of the 1970’s extension is nearing completion and the development is really starting to come to life.
Alec French Architects are working with Eduserv to develop proposals for the redevelopment of Gyldan House, an existing office building on Portwell Lane in Bristol.
