City Hall and Wapping Wharf shortlisted for Michelmores Awards 2017.

Two of our projects, City Hall and Wapping Wharf, have recently been shortlisted for the Michelmores Awards 2017. Winners will be released on Thursday 15 June.

City Hall, is a Grade II* building commissioned by Bristol City Council as its corporate HQ in the 1930’s. It was comprehensively remodelled internally to create a contemporary and agile working environment for staff and partner organisations delivering services to the City of Bristol in the 21st Century. Furthermore, the incorporation of energy saving measures have led to significant financial saving to the Council in a time of great financial challenge.

Wapping Wharf Phase 1 is the first stage of the transformation of previously derelict land located on the south side of Bristol’s historic Floating Harbour. This initial phase provides 194 apartments, including 24 affordable homes together with ground floor retail & public realm. A new pedestrian route, Gaol Ferry Steps, is a major milestone in the creation of a vibrant shopping & residential quarter lined with independent retailers and Bristol’s first ever retail food hub constructed of recycled shipping containers.
