Kingfisher school works continue with the protective piling in place
Works to the retaining wall at The Kingfisher school continue with the protective piling in place and the excavation now complete.
The drainage that was in the way was rerouted then the rebar was installed for the footing and following this the first pour undertaken. The reinforcement for the vertical section and associated shuttering was then installed and pour two completed. This element setting out the whole new building and allowing the children’s centre entrance to be reinstated will be complete before Christmas.
Meanwhile at the other end of the site the former caretaker’s house was demolished to make room for Kier’s full site set up.
